Rob Richards
Political Consultant
Rob Richards is a dedicated political consultant, community leader, and U.S. Navy veteran with over two decades of experience in political communications, community organizing, and project management. As the Founder and CEO of Réveille Strategies, Rob provides strategic consulting to candidates, drawing on his expertise in campaign strategy, voter outreach, and political advocacy.
Previously, Rob served as a District Representative for Congressman Derek Kilmer (WA-06), where he worked closely with constituents to address their needs and advocate for their interests at the federal level, from local public works projects to challenges befalling veterans and active-duty military. His professional background includes roles as a Founding Partner at Sullivan Campaign Services, Marketing Director at the Olympia Film Society, and Program Manager for the Olympia Downtown Ambassadors, a program he designed to strengthen community connections and foster a supportive environment for all.
Rob is proud of his service in the United States Navy from 1996 to 2000, which included a deployment to the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Fox, which earned him the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. This military experience instilled in him a deep sense of collaborative leadership and commitment to service—values that continue to guide his work today.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Rob is actively involved in volunteer and community service. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Statewide Poverty Action Network since 2012, advocating for policies that address systemic poverty. Rob has also held leadership positions with the Downtown Neighborhood Association, the Olympia Planning Commission, and various committees focused on transportation, housing, human services, and community development.
Driven by a passion for public service, a commitment to equity, and a belief in the power of community engagement to create meaningful change, Rob strives to make a positive impact at the local, state, and national levels—whether he is working on political campaigns, leading community initiatives, or advocating for policy solutions.
